A podcast as defined on Wikipedia:

“A podcast, or generically net cast, is an episodic series of digital audio or video files which a user can download and listen to. It is often available for subscription, so that new episodes are automatically downloaded via web syndication to the user’s own local computer, mobile application, or portable media player. It is distinct from Internet radio, which involves streaming rather than downloading.”*

This American Life

This is an amazing show! It’s very unusual and hard to describe. The show is hosted by Ira Glass, Ira and his team travel around America and interview normal American people giving us a very raw and detailed insight into their lives and how they deal through and with various issues. Nothing is out of bounds – it’s literally no holds barred.

This podcast took me out of my comfort zone, it taught me that there’s always more to a story than meets the eye, and has helped me become more open minded.
